Social Events

The club was delighted to host a children's Christmas party on behalf of our members family & friends.

Once again a huge thank you to our army of volunteers from decorating Santa's grotto, preparing the room, buying presents, cleaning the room etc., a special mention to Father Christmas himself to help make the children's day a special one.

What a fantastic turnout there was with around one hundred and twenty including over fifty children, it was nice to see the function room filled with energy and enthusiasm.

The club wanted to put a special day for the children making it memorable day leading up to Christmas, providing an action-packed day which included:

  • Bouncy castle

  • Slide

  • DJ

  • Balloon making

  • Party games

  • Meet Father Christmas include photograph

It certainly was an action-packed three hours which was great to see all the kids having a good time, they all seemed to try everything, the parents & grandparents seemed more tired than the children by the end of the afternoon.

The club hopes everyone who attended had a superb day, any suggestions or feedback we welcome as we look to learn & improve every event we host on behalf of members.

Merry Xmas & a happy new year to all our members family & friends, thank you for your continued support to the club.

Many Thanks

Social Committee

Christmas Party 2018
Candlelit Dinner November 2018

We the new social committee were delighted to be hosting the Candlelit Dinner on behalf of North Manchester Golf Club for its members and guests.

We want to thank the small army of volunteers who helped to stage the evening without the help of these people the evening would not be possible.

We are also fortunate we have a superb function room which has been redecorated, so if you know anybody who is looking to book a function in Middleton if you could please recommend us.

On to the night itself, it was a superb turnout with a combination of members and guests; it was my first function I had attended at the as I am a fairly new member.

I am led to believe they were also other members who's the first time it was also which is encouraging as we will be looking to grow the social of the club going forward.

The night started with pre-drinks in the bar before being led into the function for our four-course meal which everybody enjoyed, a mention also to the bar staff & waitress for providing an excellent service.

A special mention to our MC Terry Hyde who was fantastic and very funny, thank you also to all the people who generously donated raffle prizes, those who won prizes had to run the gauntlet of getting past the MC with his witty one-liners.

The alcohol was in full flow now the artist was singing the dance floor was filling up, and everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves. I could start to relax now as my running about to try to ensure the evening went smoothly, time for a few beers.

Feedback so far has been positive from the night, please come and speak to us if we can improve anything we will gladly do so.

Picture content will be added to future blogs apologies for not doing so in this one.

Once again the Social committee would like to thank all the people who attended we are delighted to say we raised a total of £2,170, this will fund the new website which I am sure you will all agree it is pivotal to grow and take the club forward.
